About us...

W. Bouwman Marine Service BV and BMS Towing BV were founded in januari 1996 out of the former family company Fa. W. Bouwman & Zonen. The company was split up in 4 new companies.

BMS Towing BV started with the tug Willem-B sr, which was taken over from the former family company.

In March 1996 the second tug was added to the fleet. The tug Indus was a solid build tug, after some modifications she became a fameous, powerfull, very manoevreble, multi purpose tug. The Indus served the company well, until she was sold in november 2008.

In the winter of 1998 the two split hopper barges Jeske-B and Silke-B where added to the fleet. And in the summer 2000 the backhoe dipperdredger André-B was also added to the fleet. The backhoe dredger and the splithopper barges formed the sister company BMS Dredging BV.

The backhoe dipper dredger and the split hopper barges were sold again in 2006 to Greece and is been dredging ever since in Dakar.

Later in 2006 the tugs Sil-Jeske-B and Wilco-B where bought to enlarge the fleet.

In april 2007 the contract was signed to build the new multi purpose tug André-B and in april 2008 she was delivered and christened in harbour of Zierikzee. In July 2018 the André-B was sold.

In june 2008 the tug Sil-Jeske-B was sold and in november 2008 the tug Indus was sold as well.

The tug Jannie-B was bought and added to the fleet in august 2011

In september 2015 the tug Sil-Jeske-B was bought and added to the fleet.
